3rd Annual Acden Fleet Show & Shine

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - May 12, 2023

Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo, AB - Acden Fleet is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Acden Fleet Show and Shine in support of the Centre of Hope (the Centre) will be taking place again in August 2023. This FUNdraiser brings together car enthusiasts and community members to raise money for those experiencing homelessness and at risk of homelessness in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.

The event will take place on August 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Acden’s corporate headquarters at 220 Taiganova Crescent. Attendees will view a display of stunning classic and modern cars, trucks, and bikes, as well as a kids corner, food alley, the dyno, awards in 13 categories with customized trophies, and a silent auction.

"Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Acden Fleet Show and Shine in support of the Centre of Hope," said Wendell Cobb, General Manager of Acden Fleet. “Our company and our employees believe it's essential to give back to our community and help those who are most in need. This event is a fantastic opportunity to bring people together and make a real difference in the lives of those who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in our town."

Since 2005, the Centre of Hope has been dedicated to providing emergency shelter, food, and support services to those experiencing homelessness in our community. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the “Drop In” at the Centre.

“Funds raised during the event are used to keep the “Drop In” operational as it’s the only program at the Centre that relies solely on community funding. It sees over 70 visitors a day, some of whom are repeat visitors that view the Centre as their home and family. The “Drop In” supplies our visitors with a safe and caring space where they can sit down for a meal, pick up snacks, shop for donated clothing, collect personal care and hygiene items, do their laundry, and safely store their most precious items,” states Tracy Shulko, Events Manager at Centre of Hope.

Acden Fleet and the Centre of Hope will be looking for assistance to help with event costs and volunteering. If you’re able to volunteer your time or interested in sponsoring the event, please visit www.acden.com/showandshine – there are opportunities for everyone.
